Resuma el contenido de su sitio

Before you start, take a minute to sketch out the important pieces of your site, like the critical information and the pages you want to include. Introduction to organizing site content

Your BirdPress site will come with a set of commonly requested pages, and menus already set up. You can go in and change the names of the pages to what you need, and the menus will reflect those changes.

If you’re adding a new page, you’ll need to edit the Primary Navigation menu and add the page to the menu if you want it to show in the primary navigation. Remember to save the change to the menu.

Get to know the new block editor

WordPress introduced a new way to edit content called the Gutenberg Block Editor. The editor is less like a Word document with different blocks for each part of the content.

Before you get started, here are some useful tutorials to help you get used to the new editor:

Examples and explanations of the blocks available to you can be found under the The Block Editor menu.

Site Content

Pages

Pages are typically used to create content that are more permanent. For example: About Us is a good candidate for being a page in WordPress.

Posts

Posts can be used as blog posts — make sure you assign categories to them.

Both posts and pages in BirdPress 2.0 offer a wide range of content options. There are some example posts in this site’s blog to give you some ideas for fancy, rich story layouts:

Another use for posts: if you want a web page for each student in your Lab, you can create them as posts, categorize them as Students, and use the article_list block to display this list on a page.

This is an example of a global CTA
