Zotero
BirdPress has the ability to display your Zotero publications on your web pages.
Do this the first time you configure the plugin:
- Make sure the Zotero plugin is activated by looking for Zotpress link in the side bar of your BirdPress admin view
- Go to Zotero website and login with your Zotero account
- Go to this page: https://www.zotero.org/settings/keys
- Click on link: Create New Private Key
- Fill in:
- Key description: something like “BirdPress” (no quotes)
- Check off Read Only
- Click Save Key button at the bottom of the page
- You’ll return to the list of keys page, copy-paste the random string of letters in the Key column of the key you just created
- Return to BirdPress admin, mouse-over “Zotpress” in the sidebar, choose “Account”
- Click on Add Account button
- Paste in the Key value into the key field
- Follow the fine print instructions on the right side of the page to get the user id and paste into user id field
- Click Validate button
- In the BirdPress admin, mouse-over “Zotpress” in the sidebar, choose “Browse”
- You should be able to see the collections and publications from your Zotero account.
- To display these publications on your web pages, get short codes on the Help page: In the BirdPress admin, mouse-over “Zotpress” in the sidebar, choose “Help”
