Events Calendar

The Events Calendar is a premium plugin that requires a license and activation by the web team. Examples can be found on birds.cornell.edu on our Visitor Center (list view) and Programs (calendar view) pages.

A basic template is available when a new event is added. Keep all content within this template. Contact the web team if you have special template needs.

Event Date Time: Click on the date block to open the calendar, time and recurrence options. This will automatically update the details sidebar.

Content: Type or paste the content over the paragraph placeholder.

Venue: Add optional location with the Event Venue block. Start typing the location name to find an existing location or to add a new one. Delete this block if unused.

Details: Optional Website, price and organizer can be added from the right sidebar. If a detail is not filled in, it will not show up on the page.

Featured Image: Add the featured image using the settings sidebar in the editor. This is the same as adding a featured image to any page or post. If no featured image is selected, the block will not appear in the published page.

Event Category: Select the event category in the settings sidebar. This is also similar to selecting categories on any post.
